im on them. they seem to be fine for street.

i do light track - again they hold up for me

theyre not as dusty as some pads out there and theyre quiet,.

i had some other european pads - they were alot of things but really, they were bad on dust, noisey and i didnt like them on the street. they were good on the track though after they got hot!

Search? Read the massive brake sticky?

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ow-review.html

Reds are great street and AX pads - they are NOT track pads.

Yellows are streetable and AX on the Evo too (my SVTF is lighter -- I track on Yellows).

Blues are what the Evo would need for the track.

I ran a set of the GREEN stuff on my car for a while, Loved them.. People who knew evos got in mine thought it had ss brake lines.

The only bad thing was the break in coating. They squeeled like heck till I got pissed and stomped on the brakes one time and finialy got it off.

Since then my parts guy got me on Hawks... awefull... They are an ok pad not very dusty but they noticably suck when cold, squeek when warm. They only really work well when you are really useing them.

EBC all the way!

I have been debating on these pads for some time, but I think this time I will lean towards the Centric HD pads. Less exspensive and the Compound should be relitively close to the Red compound on the EBC's but for $40 cheaper per axle set.

Once I get them on, I will post about it. I will be running the Centriic HD's and the Centric Slotted Rotors with Motul RBF 600. I think this is a tough combo to beat for the money, for street and Auto X use.

I know brake pads make allot more noise if you do not turn the rotors prior to the new pad install. People may argue that, but from my own experience, the noise level is much less when you put the new pad on a clean surface.

Correct. Proper bedding is also key.

If you turned your rotors after the fact, then yes, you will continue to get noise. Why? Well, when you put new pads on a rotor that has not been turned, it basically turns the new brake pad into a record so to speak. It puts the grooves from the rotor into the pad.

So it gets noisy and you take the rotors off and turn them. Then after a bit, guess what happens? The pads put the grooves back onto the rotor. So its this back and forth thing that is causing you to have so much noise.

It is essentail to have the new pad seat onto a smooth surface. That way the rotor gets bed into the charactoristic of that particular pad. Then things work in harmany

I did the same mistake you did with the Hawk HPS pads. I don't just hate the Hawk Pads because of the noise, that is my fault. They just are very tempermental pads. I just dont like them compared with other pads I have used.

I am due for new Pads and rotors very soon. I have my mind made up on trying the Centric HD pads with the Centric Slotted Rotors. Will post up how that goes when I do it.

I ran the Greens street/strip on single piston calipers on my 3200# 9 second 1g in sig and had little fading at the track @ 147mph. I switched to Reds and didn't even have to keep steady pressure at the track slowing down, they gave me no reason to switch to big brakes and I plan on putting them on my evo.

I know the evo is a different car but just some extra input from my experience.
