What Pads Do you use
i got some hawk pads on my 8. hate em! less dust yes, dont stop as well as the brembo pads and they make horriable noises when you do repeated high speed stops. i will be in the market for new ones soon, i think im going back to the brembo pads.
For the money I could get you a better pad that wont make noise and is incredible
I picked up a set of PF Z-rated pads about 2000 miles ago, and I must say so far they have been great. I was very impressed at their feel for a street pad, and they have been very quiet. Initial bite when cold is not the best, but by no means is it bad. The pads really shine when heated up. I can't wait for spring to give them a run around some cones, but so far I have had wonderful results (no fade with a linear feel ) from the back roads here in NC.
Over all, I must say that I am very happy with these brakes, and would recommend them to anyone looking for some good street pads.

RC6's as a track pad with the stock Brembo caliper..RC6e with the RB 4 pot caliper, drove both the pads on the street in transit from the tracks and some summer DD. They are a very aggressive compound and are best suited for the track/AX BUT work really well on the street, in my case the pads made so much noise I was forced to keep them as a track only pad.
I use PF-Z on the street and PF 01 on the track with PF 2-piece rotors in front and DBA 4000 rotors in the rear.
I found out PF 01 is fine in daily driving, but they eat a set of rotors fast (10k). So now I change before track days.
I actually had a rear pad where the friction material came loose. (PF-Z)
Kind a disappointing, but I still use PF-Z.
I have tried others, but they squeals to much, when they are used after the PF01. Proberly the compounds that don't interact.
I like the low noise on both PF 01 and Z

TracK: I've tried Hawk DTC60, Raybestos ST43. Raybestos ST43 = awesome, and is my choice track pad. My car stops like i'm droppin boat anchors out the back.
Autox: Hawk HP+ worked great, but its the most awful pad on earth in regards to noise. Repeat: AWFUL.
Street: Currently using Girodisc Magic Pads. Quiet, low dust, but not enough initial bite for my taste. Will be trying other pads next.

Porterfield R4S gets my vote for a street pad. Lots of life, no noise, easy to modulate, good bite and they last awhile. Got 30k and 40-50 autox's (at least) out my last fronts. Rears are still in.
Might have to look into the ST43's next year. Want to get a track day or two in.
