Also tried DS2500's, not impressed and DEFINATELY not a track worthy pad. Mediocre street pad IMHO. ET700's were a little better track pad (while I was still very new to track stuff), but nowhere near a true track pad. But they make a nice street pad, good controllable bite and modulation.
Woo Hoo! Another Carbotech fan. Rare breed for Evos for some reason.....

Track - Carbotech XP 10 (Initial bite and stopping power are freaking ridiculous, not too harsh on rotors either)

Street - Hawk HPS

I use PFC Zs. They are softer on initial bite and squeal from time to time. And feel really grainy in the cold. And get really hot under braking for me at least. But I guess for a pad that can do both street and track decently well it does alright.

I should've had dedicated street and track pads from the start though. But I didn't know how serious the track stuff was going to get. Next season....

I used to run Hawks but now run Ferodo DS2500s. I love them way better than the Hawks.

Agreed, John. I got a new set last year for Christmas and did 5 track days this year and they still looked good when I swapped over to winter wheels. I recommended them to Jeff for their bang for the buck value.

I have been using PF-Z's for awhile now. I run 255 NT05's and going to be doing a few more lapping/track days and was hoping just to swap out the front pads with something more aggressive. Maybe the 01's? Was wondering your guys opinion on running different compounds F&R?

Okay thats what I figured. PFZ have a MOT up to about 1200 degrees correct? So the 01's would probably be my best bet for a more aggressive front pad? Whats the temp range on those?

Track: Carbotech XP10s

Daily: Carbotech Bobcats

They have worked awesome for me and the brake dust is easier to wash off

I'm using the PFCs, and I can honestly say that they didn't meet my expectations.

The Z-Rated pads are supposed to be an aggressive street pad, but they don't have any decent bite at lower temps. After a decent stop (120-60 decel does wonders) the pad picks up a very nice bite and finally provides the braking Gs I would expect. As a street pad they just don't seem to be linear or responsive enough at the lower temps you usually see during daily drives, even though the Evo brake setup has a tendency to stop a little hotter than most due to the heavier car and sub-par brake cooling. Once heated I'm very happy with the performance.

I will be going with the Endless MX72s next time around.
