I think the Evo ABS is brilliant - better than the majority of vehicles - may be barring a Porsche GT3 - I haven't driven one of those. Also, I think it has been demonstrated that it is also good for better lap times for most drivers.

The only reason in my mind other than serviceability and weight (e.g. drag racing) to do an ABS delete on an Evo would be to avoid this if that is an issue for you:https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mo...nts-track.html

I've never driven an Evo with ABS. I wanted an RS so I got an RS. I have a 2006 RS. The ACD still needs the wheel speed sensors and the yaw/g-force sensors under the center console near the hand brake mounts. So in deleting the ABS I guess you would just be able to remove the pump and valve block. Clean up some of the lines and eliminate the control unit. How much weight does that save?

in non-ABS cars with ACD the wheel speed sensors go straight to the ACD computer. In cars with ABS and ACD the wheel speed sensors go first to the ABS computer then the ABS computer retransmits the wheelspeed signal to the ACD computer. If you want to remove the ABS you have to repin the wheel speed sensors into the ACD computer directly otherwise your ACD won't work correctly.
