As many of you know RS's come without ABS. My question has to do with the brake bleeding sequence. I've searched around and I know with ABS it is RR,LF,LR,RF. But is it the same with out the ABS unit or do you just use the old method of farthest to closest to the MC? Thanks for any answers.

 

Yea you can bleed them out the same as you would the ABS equipped cars. Thats how I did my ex's RS

 

Do you only do the outside bleeder or do you do both bleeders per caliper? I bled mine like the old school cars of farthest first and went inside-outside and they feel like garbage so im thinking that wasnt right.

 

IIRC, you do the RR, LF, LR, than RF last. Start with the outer bleeders first per caliper, then inside.

 

Thanks man! get to go through the brakes and the clutch today and get them both working correctly. First time theyve ever been a PITA, I bled them like old school when I put them on the first time and never had a problem, this time they feel like **** and keep losing pressure but they arent leaking. Guess thatll be what i spend my day doing!

 

Have always inner and outer per caliper right after one another ABS and NON-ABS.

Inside or outside first never mattered for me.

 

when i had ABS i bled my brakes as per the procedure and they worked perfectly.. i recently did the ABS delete and i can not get solid pressure for my life. no leaks yet i have no pressure. i did the bleeding RR LF LR RF. used motive bleeder..I can not figure out what the heck is going on.

Any ideas?

 

When I did my abs delete I gravity bleed the system by myself and the pedal has been perfect since day one.

 

ended up having to adjust the push rod going from the booster to MC. threaded it further out and it solved the issue.. so annoying
