My new Enkei Rpf1s!

Ready to buy some new shoes for my MR IX and I was thinking bout the Enkei Rpf1s. Wanna stay with 17s on Swift Springs Spec-Rs with a 255/40/17 tires. I'm debating to go 17x9.5 +18 or 17x9.5 +38. What would be the best fitment looking for a flush look. I did a lot of research but cant seem to find the answer I'm looking for. I found that +18 will fit with no spacers but require rear fender work. +38 will require 20mm spacers in front. Still have no idea which fitment will look more flush.

I finally decided what size rims to get. I completely ditched the 17s and went with 18x9.5 +15. Here are some pics not the best but did my best

17X9.5 +38 would be more ideal because you won't need that much fender work like the +18 would. Yes, the 17X9.5 +38 will technically be a +18 due to the 20mm spacer you need to run to clear the brembos. I would go with the 17X9.5 +38 due to being able to rotate the wheels and simplicity of making them fit under the rear fenders.

Hey Apex, what kind of spacers do you have? Are they holding up? Extended studs required? I want to do it the right way without having to waste money on things I don't need.

the +20 mm will give you the same effective offset with the +38... so... if you want a flush look without having to run a bunch of negative camber, I would go with the +38. This way the rears will be nice and tucked and not stick out past the fender.

If you go with the +18, they will require some additional fender rolling in the rear with the tire you are gonna be running because they will stick further out at the rears.

There is a guy here who ran 18x9.5 +38s with no fender rolling. So you should have no issues with the +38. This will give you a flush look with the wheels sitting inside the fenders.... no fender poke.

Maybe someone running this setup will chime in.

So having to do less work on the +38, would they look flush and still have an aggressive look?

me along with a bunch of the philly guys all run this wheels for street and autoX. i have tein springs (garbo but saving for coils) 17x9.5 +38 all around (want to rotate). 20mm ichaba spacer up front 265 Z1s. rear fenders are done, -2 camber in the front, -1.5 rear, stock bolts just flipped.

car sits great, rears no rub and tuck in nice. front sits wide (helps the car rotate) up front with no fender mods.

swift doesnt drop you that much, and depending on tire and camber you should be good to go. gl

^^ +38 will not look flush with spec r's... i have these springs and its a very subtle drop so they dont stick out.

I have +30 wheels with +15 bolt-on spacers(ichiba) so no extended studs for me. The rear grinds and I cant have any sit on the rear unless it two hot *** petite chicks, u feel me? So dont be like me and get your fender work done otherwise get +38 without da flush look

So are 18x9.5 +38 out of the picture if I'm running swift springs spec-rs?

I swear you asked me already when you PMed me last time but I don't remember so here we go. I'm running the ichiba "slip-on" spacers with the touge factory extended studs. Sooner or later I' will be going with the ARP extended studs for more peace of mind. So yes, just order the arp extended studs and w/e size spacer you want and you will be good to go.

That I cannot tell you because I don't have experience with wide wheels on stock suspension. A friend of mine told me awhile back that lower offset is better for clearing the stock suspension. I am sure the 17's will fit but I don't know about the 18's(because they're larger). I have fit a 18X9.5 +22 on stock suspension with a 255/35/18 (don't remember how much it cleared by though).

I really like the look of the 18s but me running on swift
Springs might not do it justice. I guess I'm going with the 17x9.5 +38...but what spacers do you guys recommend? Ichiba or project kics?
