High spring rates and swaybar.

I was about to order the 26mm whiteline front swaybar for my evo but my spring rates are around 14kg/16kg F/R. Think that bar is big enough or should I run bigger?

Daily (less than 30 miles a day usually) and the occasional road-course + auto-x.

Nitto NT05 265/35/18 +22. Turn in is a little unpredictable right now and I've noticed a little push when trying to accel out of turns.

Too late for this, I can't find my old HKS springs. I figured since the engine was out that I might as well add a swaybar, and I've been reading that it helps with turn-in and understeer because of the evo's wheel rates.

Not currently running an rsb, I was planning on doing front only and then buying a rear based on how the front only performed. I was only planning to do one, I have a trunk bar and the stock front strut bar.

Swaybar won't help your cause... Your spring rates are too high for street tires already, I think the FSB will just make things worse.

this. your spring rates are really really high. turn in is unpredictable in part because of that.

A better option would be to run a 12k front spring, Robispec adjustable front bar and Cusco ladder mount (adjustable swaybar endlink mount on the LCA). This allows more compliance when on the street using so-so tires and can still be adjusted stiffer for race tires when you autox/track. It's also great for adjusting balance due to temperature, precipitation, asphalt, etc. Leave the rear bar OEM a with the 16k's. Upgrade the rear diff with TRE's Max-lock (or cusco, carbonetics, etc) and you'll cure the corner exit deal.

Correct me if I am wrong but both of those are transitional phases and as a result i believe damper settings will have more affect than spring rates or sway bars being that neither of those cases are steady state loading???

True, it is part damper, but it's also an effect of having spring rates that are way way too high for those tires and for a street car in general. Those tires are overloaded quickly with those rates.

Those are time attack, hoosier a6, big wing and aero, spring rates...NOT daily driver on street tires spring rates. Try going down a couple hundred lbs/in....
