The bars will have a welded tab on each side so the belts can be bolted in. The belts I chose and am going to offer are the Schrothes with the quick release clips for all four ends. Then the belts can be removed with the bar in a matter of a minute or so. Adding a camera mount stud would be easy.

That does look good. I am having EvoPowerMods make me an under brace as we speak. It just replaces the OEM stuff though but is a step in the right direction, I'll post pics later.

More of us have the wrap kind then the bolted in kind. May look at providing a way for both then making people get a different belt.

The harness bar, we just installed it in the Bish, this is the prototype bar. It's gonna be *****in'. I will have the first production bar in my car for the Winged Warrior event coming up the 22nd of May. It came out very-very nice. Quick removal for your rear passengers all via pull pins. There will be an option for bolt in harnesses to, without them taking the bar out quickly will be not-so-quick. I'd like to see this bar come out in less than one minute, including the seat belts, if it's any longer than that I won't consider it "removable".
I just purchased my shell. I can just have it shipped to you in 2-3 weeks

We are going to build a removable quick release harness bar. This way it can be taken in and out so you can have passengers in the back seat, safely.

The fender bracing I have an idea for too, it will require no holes to be drilled and should have more strength than what I am seeing pictured here. I have to find a loaner car to send over to the chassis shop for that, I've got too much going on with my RS to have it down for a week or two. Anyone in the area want to volunteer their EVO for 2 weeks for some free parts?
Good thing I kept reading....I'll definately be waiting for this

Wrap around belts are a PITA, if you want to actually remove the bar quickly for safety of the passengers then a wrap around belt makes them "not removable".

IF someone wanted to use a wrap around belt the tab for the bolt in will not be in the way.

as far as the belt bar goes what about a lower laying bar? yes it would need a specially designed belt for it. Or are some people using this to push on the sides of the midpoints of the car?

david would you guys have any interest in building the chassis bracing that was spoke of in page 1 post 1? Seeing as that shop has yet to email me back after a couple attempts. i offered them my car for as many weekends as they needed.

as its time for me to leave arizona i cant offer my car to them anymore.

Alright, the first project is complete. The harness bar was finished on Friday, sent to have a quick powder coating job done on it and installed just in time to leave for the Winged Warrior Event.

I'm going to start another thread on this so I won't go into a ton of detail here. I did do a video of the car at the event with some pictures of the bar in it. There is one spot of swearing in the video, so watch your volume.

Here is the video:

Look for the other thread for more detail.

Any progress with the fender bracing pieces ? Also I know this is off topic but I was reading about the oil pan baffling mod / setup thread you guys offer. I was wondering if you were able to work out a crank scraper out as well for the 4g64 bottom end? also does this take away necessary oiling needed for lubricating the cylinder or is " just enough " scraped from the crank ? Nice job on the bar set up. Bad a** video.
