Does it look like I care if FA is using their coilover on their car? Nope. If someone is doing some SERIOUS tracking, then yes, I do think KW's would pull better track times if they were tested back to back on the same day. I'll put money on that.

Do you see serious track Evo's running Chinese made crap? I don't think so.. You see them running KW, Ohlins, JRZ, Motons, etc etc.

I'd highly doubt you know any difference between a cheap shock and a good shock seeing that you have got your "hella flush Stance" on your EVO claiming that you track it.
Easy tiger these really aren't the same coil over as others in the same price range like you think. These coil overs do very well during tracking and I know this because I track my car twice a month. The surfaces I race are on two difference road course tracks and a parking lot with slight elevation changes and dips. From everything I am told my cheap coil overs should slow me down but that isn't the case because I have taken first place numerous times. My last event I was 1.3 seconds off an F430 Scuderia with bolt ons , A6's, and race fuel. Prior to that race I was debating Ohlins and still want them but I don't think they will help me out that much more. Don't knock them until you have tried them. I would definitely recommend these for an entry level coil over.

i'd highly suggest the swift springs. they are lighter and handle better than springs of the same rate/length.

although i do not doubt your dedication to performance and tracking, i think you are giving the FAs much less credit than they deserve. are they top shelf competition coils? hell no, but for you to group them with all the other junk currently on the market is wrong. with the right upgrades (swift springs and correct rates) these will perform well. i track mine often (november at infineon will be my 5th track day this year) and feel that the damping is more than adequate.

if the OP specified that he was trying to shave seconds off this time trials AND said money is no object, then yes, i would tell him to look at the upper echelon of coils. but, with all the information we can gather, suggesting the wide versatility and abilities of the FAs shouldn't be a problem at all.

with that said, it really comes down to preference so everything that's been said in this thread is just in a salt shaker for the OP to dash sparingly with.
