I installed new pads and rotors around 1000 miles ago and have begun to notice that sometimes they squeal. I got ferodo ds2500 pads and centric premium rotors (all 4 corners). The squealing occurs when rolling WITHOUT the brakes applied. When the brakes are applied, the squealing gets loud for a second as the pads engage, then the sound disapears. I took my car to the shop where everything was installed and everything checks out. I even had my buddy at work take a look. The weird thing is that the car stops fine and I dont have any shakes or vibrations in the steering wheel. Does anyone have any ideas what could be the problem? spray some disc quiet on the pads... the squeel is the vibration of the pad shim. So, spray on the back of the pad, lay the shim down, spray again. let dry. reinstall
