Red face will this setup work out?

hey all i been offered some rpf1s for a good price but not sure if this will work with my setup-- they are 17x8 +45 and tires 255/40/17

i have a 03 gsr evo
-lowered on springs (tien i believe)
-no fender mods or rolled (front/rear)
stock caliper and rotor

what do you guys think? will it look stupid, silly, ugly or just right ??

has anyone done this setup.. im trying to search for pics or info on this but my jobs internet browser doesnt allow me to see pics

BASICALLY want to see if it will work without any spacers, fender rolling or anything

please post any info thanks

---
this is how it looks as of right now

Offset is too high. The highest you would really want to go would be +38, which is the stock offset. Even if those wheels would fit ( im inclined to think not), they would be super sunken in and look like crap. Not to mention they are tje same size as the stock wheels you already have, so you wouldnt be gaining anything to speak of from the switch.

For acceptable fitment and sufficient sizes of 17 inch rims you should look in the range of 8.5...9 width and +38...+20 offset. Chances are high that the rim with these dimensions will fit right and look good. Also those will allow fitting 245/40 or 255/40 tires in the right way.

As for the RPF1 - easiest way is to go with 8.5*17 +30, this rims will fit without any problems and allow you to use 255/40 or 245/40 tires (for 255/40 there may be slight rubbing on full lock and in the rear depending on tires, 255/40/17 R-S3 for example are really wider, but nothing significant). My EvoIX is slightly lowered with GTWORX springs.

To give you the idea - photos of my EvoIX with 8.5*17 +30 RPF1 and 255/40/17 R-S3:

and with those same rims and 235/45/17 Nokian WR (winter tires):

One other thing you may want to verify is the type of lowering spring you have as well. Tein are notoriously bad from what I understand. Other than that what was said above.

Seems too high of an offset, might hit brakes.

Yeah, might wanna think about replacing those springs before you blow your struts, if they aren't already shot...

Couldn't he just throw some spacers on to fix the offset?
