I have no idea and I'll never know the truth. The title on the car has been jumped twice...I have very limited info regarding the crash. It obviously took quite an impact. The guy at the shop said the suspension cross member is actually slotted where it mounts and it could just be slid back, tweaked, or both.

Regardless he assured me 100% he can get the car back to perfect. He said he has fixed much worse. We'll see how that goes. I'm still working on getting the car titled before I let them tear into it.

The first buyer of the crashed car wanted to flip it and make a quick buck. The car drives perfectly smooth and only has a VERY slight pull to the right. He was not a good mechanic and cut a lot of corners to make the car look good enough to sell. Hopefully I'll be reporting back within a month showing pics of the wheels centered in the fender wells..... as I'm drifting around a corner with one hand out the window fist pumping out of excitement. LOL

The ACD pump is not rubbing on the tires. The ACD pump is in front of the front left wheel, not behind it. I paid $13k

if you don't mind answering, how much have you put into the car?

a salvage evo 9 with 20k miles in excellent shape would probably go for 18k on a good day (more likely 16k range, but i digress) so i hope you're not blowing money away on this car hoping that it will turn out for the best

just remember that the car won't have nearly as high of a resale value with the salvage title so don't over-invest yourself into the car

I have not put any $$ into the car yet. Paid $13k. The MOST EXPENSIVE quote I received from the shop to fix is $1000. That is full retail on parts to replace both C members and the suspension cross member and to put it on the frame machine and straighten if necessary. Parts and labor, $1000.

I'm pretty stoked considering the rest of the car is flawless. Interior and exterior from the fenders back is 10/10. Whoever rebuilt the car was not careful about lining up fender seams and such. The body shop said they would fix all of that too... Also, I don't plan on selling this car for a very long time. I'm going to get my $$ out of it from the miles I plan to put on it. I appreciate the concern!

Not a bad deal so far if you haven't put any money into it

good luck with the pulling, i'm curious to see how it turns out. $1,000 does seem like a bit of a low price for that sort of work, but i've never had it done so i'm not sure
