stock brake calipers with bigger disks

Has any one tried stock calipers with 356+ disks before? I know you would have to add mounting brakets to move calipers.

There is no point putting bigger brakes on the original brake calipers
move the caliper to get the smaller contact area on the disc.

You need to have bigger calipers can swallow the disc

But on the other hand, you welling same time far with just really good records and carbotech evidence and some Motul brake fluid

I don't know what this guy is talking about. Seriously, I don't know.

But.... Installing a larger rotor and moving the caliper out will give you more leverage and greater stopping power.

It will also change your brake bias.... that 'guy is talking about' is if you significantly change the brake disk size, the disk outer radius will no longer fit inside the caliper cut out radius for the disk. That is what he means by 'swallow'. Normally you can only change but maybe 20mm and fit the same caliper and not get some poor contact area on the pads.
By putting a thicker disk on you will have to mod the friction as the opening in the caliper for the OEM pads (or replacements) will not accept the thicker disk. Spacing the caliper etc will only depend on the disk offset, if the center line of the disk is exactly the same no spacer will be needed. There is a limit as well to where you will start to hit the actual caliper it self.

There is nood need fore bigger breakdiscs on the evo stardard size is enought ,

bang fore the buck is , Good breakdiscs and good breakpads , Like Carbotech xp 10 on the track ,

( only use whit R tires like toyo 888 )

I will garanti you that your will never blow your breaks , this pads han handel temp uo to 950 *C
and you will never get that far ,

I will bet you on my evo 6TME that, if you get tour selfs relly good discs and pads , and fluid
fore the track events , you will break your gearbox ore clutch , or something ealse , before you you will make the breaks faill !

Talking of my on expriance ,!

This summer I was running carbon soramic discs and pads , and they were glowing , red most of the time ,
byt they never faild . brutal stopping power !

The point of bigger discs and bigger calipers whit more pistons in it , is fore cars that are heavyer ,
its the moving force you wanna stop when breaking ,

A car that whays less dont need big breaks , like a heavy car

During lapping sessions of 20min or more its very easy to lose brakes due to heat. Best solution is taking a mid session cool down lap. BBK is great but expensive. Unless you go big enough to require 18" wheels I don't think the cost is worth the hassle.

Best thing to do is manage your car.
