STOPTECH vs OEM,thoughts?

ok guys i thought i would start this thread as im curious if anyone else has had experience with this,i had oem brakes for a long time on my road race car ,2 piece PF fr rotors, powerslot slotted rear rotors with dtc 70 fr and ht10 rr pads
now i have stoptech 4 piston fr, oem caliper rr with girodisc two piece rr rotor and the same pads as my stock setup
the thing is i can honestly say i dont feel any difference, could it be my choice of pad ?any thoughts anyone?
i should also note that im getting fade at roughly the same point as the oem setup, maybe 6 hotlaps

I'm personally a big fan of running the same compounds F and R - my .02.

Do you have cooling ducts? I'm assuming you do.... They need to be as short and as direct as possible. You also need good technique to allow them to cool between the corners and not heat them up too much. Meaning don't drag the brake.

What's the car weight and how much whp?

The -10's are a bit weak for the front -70's. This means they are not doing much work thus keeping the load on the front high(er)

Did you get the 113" ST kit? It' sonly marginally bigger than the OEM stuff so I would expect heat soak to occur at/near the same point. The rotors should be a bit more efficient so some gain but it could be hard to notice.
I would expect longer rotor life and maybe pad life as well.

I would think of it as..if I needed a BBK - then I needed ductwork as well.

Try -60's in the rear - or maybe even -70's. I never did the split setup and I was fine - many seem to swear by it though. The ST kit does rear bias the car a bit so keep that in mind.

i liked the carbotech pads but i found them to wear really quickly, ill try the same compound on the rear and see how it goes with some ducting,i guess i expected a little more from the stoptech kit
