Nitto Invo review

Pros: Great tire in the dry and it looks good.
Cons: hydroplanes easily resulting in this....

Verdict: buy them if you drive only in the dry.

Hydroplaning means driver was over driving the road conditions.

Road surface in the pic doesn't look all that wet. There's no standing water.

My car hydroplaned a few years ago to the tune of ~$14K. The truth is, it was late at night and I just didn't see the water on the road until I was on top of it; the equivalent of giant shallow lake. Mike is right; too fast for the road conditions. That being said, the road in the pic looks dry.

That sucks

Where did you hit the barrier? Near the tow truck?

What are those other tire tracks in front of your car?

Pools/mini-lakes are terrible in our region And worst right after cold weeks when the ground does not soak up the water as fast as summer.

Yeah I was on my way to the beach to get some tan. Water was there about 200 yards before the car. It took some time for me to crash as I was trying to regain control.

True. In my defense the road was inconsistent doe to a nice 1inch pool of water. I am having a lawyer involved that will conduct investigation on road grading.

I hit the barrier by that truck, yes. Tire tracks aren't mine.

Someone said that it was dry so my comment was somewhat sarcastic. I was not going to the beach.

I wasn't trying to take a stab at you or anything. It was a serious comment based on the pic you posted. The road is damp at best, not wet enough in my opinion to cause hydroplanning. The car in the background aren't even kicking up as much water. But hey, what do I know, I'm just the oddball in the room!

I will be shocked if you win this against whoever the case is against. Road imperfections are to be expected..puddling water is not uncommon

that said, a lot of people have been far less than pleased with these tires in wet from what i've read considering nitto says they are supposed to do well in the wet

Damn I should have taken the picture of the water before i hydroplaned.

Water cant stand in that area as it is slight uphill. Picture was taken some time after i crashed (about 100-150 yards from the pool of water that drained overtime) The truck wasn't conveniently there waiting for me. Last thing I wanted is get ran over on the side of the road by some gawker taking pictures and analyzing the level of moisture.
