custom coilovers

I know people have thought about doing this but it seems like none have actually attempted it. Well I have done it. Look on my blog to see how and what I have done. I may just end up posting it, but w/ my given time it may take some time, if you could be as so kind to look at it and let me know what you think.

thanks

very interesting. good job. Im sure a good review of how they perform with follow-ups on mileage intervals will be good for people considering this route.

yeah for sure, i just finished putting them on and will have a writeup on how it performs but honestly how well it dampens is all on the strut itself but we are trying to use spring rates on what the strut can handle. Im also looking to revalve these.

Someone did this on the 04-06 (very limited for suspensions) RA this winter too. Looks good. Did you use the same Bilstein insert? What spring rates? I'd only be worried about over springing the car without correcting the dampeners.

well i was going to do a 300/300 f/r running both front and rear sway bar. but putting on a front sway bar is a PITA so i decided to go w/ a 350/300 f/r. But i might just go back to 300/300 f/r. going to play around w/ the rates alittle and see what feels better.
