Looking for new wheels in next couple of weeks

I think I have narrowed it down to the CE28N in a 17x8 (+33).
I have a silver car and don't think Iwant bronze so it would be Ti Silver. I want something a little off silver and it seems Mercury silver would be too light.
Any input?

Also, I'd be interested in the Limited CE28N in a 17X8 in gunmetal/diamond cut finish.

I do not have a quiality picture of the Ti Silver wheel, just the small, low res one from the Rays site.

Any vendors feel free to send me a quote for either of the wheels above. I also want centercaps so I'd like that included or listed in the PM.

Thanks

Getting vendors to send you any kind of price quote on wheels is like pulling teeth around here.

I've just decided to order them through my local shop. At least they'll willingly take my money.

I'd get them through wheelmax by way of www.importhookup.com the best prices I've seen by far for the GT series, the other wheels are priced well too. Not a vendor but you can wipe your tears away with the dollar bills you saved.

(about $2100 shipped for the LE28N in that size with the centercaps)

I don't know if you know this but the Ti silver ce28n is a matte finish and the mercury silver has a glossy finish. I say go with the mercury silver. Its darker than ti silver. I use to have it. At night its in between silver and gunmetal really unique

Thanks. It's hard to find decent pictures (size) to get a good idea of color.

i'll post some shots later tonight for you. Remember though. Mercury silver is shiny under light but in the shade its like a dark shade of silver. Its really a unique color

That's good, since the Merc Silver is Limited it will be more unique.
I just need to find somewhere to get them.
Ironic how people think the mods get special treatment and I can't even get a vendor to answer this thread or PM a price.

dude, Timzcat, don't deal with some of the bull**** that the vendors spout off on here, privately, through PM's so they can quote you randomly high and inconsistent prices.

Z1 quoted me $2350 for the same Volks that other legit dealers are selling for $1750.

Jack at Road Race engineering, for one, has good prices on Volks. Try talking to him

I think the reason vendors aren't disclosing prices on wheels is because they get dogged with "I can get those at this place for less". I remember I did post wheel prices once and I got 4 or 5 posts of that nature.

timzcat, I'll PM you a quote for the wheels.

I just visited the importhookup site and it did have great prices!

It gets my full endorsement

Really, if anyone hasn't checked it out, they should.

BPAuto, i understand that fully, but that is the price that our society as a whole is willing to pay in order to have a truly free market economy.

This concept is relevant particularly on a site like this where all the Evo owners come on here to help each other out. No one likes to see a fellow enthusiast get ripped off, thats all.

This is, in the end, beneficial to most everyone, b/c the vendors that can't sell the same item for the same cheap price will eventually stop carrying that item, and will hopefully focus on other items that he may be able to get for cheaper than other vendors.

The vendor doesn't have a website, and he doesn't have a warehouse, and he doesn't have any overhead. He just works at road race and is a legitimate Volk Dealer on the side. Cool guy by the way.
