Yeah, it gets everyone's attention when rolling up to a light. I'm used to it.

The dealer kept telling me the brakes were going to squeak....so much so I wanted to find a good way to tell him to shut up (since I knew more about the car than he did it seemed).

I thought that was part of the dealer playbook, he/she should have told you about the brakes and squeaking.

Big brakes like the Brembos do that...the bigger, the harder it is to dampen the squeel (which is just a harmonic vibration).
Good explaination (the hamonic thing). I usually use the "wet finger on the wine glass" analogy. Large braking systems don't need very much clamping force to stop the car (not nearly as much as the 10" brakes on my SE-R!!). And the result is very much like rubbing your finger lightly on a wine glass. In this case the rotor begins vibrating.

I am willing to bet if you go out and *really* pound on the brakes, there won't be any noise. It's just under light/normal use.
