Sorry could you explain what you are saying, I'm sorry I don't understand.
Isn't the lower perch part of the strut and not movable? That's what I tought.
I received the struts with the lower perch on them.

I found this pic on the forums, this guy has no issue.
Is the lower perch installed in a different way??

Wait so you installed springs meant for stock evo Tokico shocks on your Bilsteins? I am pretty sure those are different part numbers depending if you are running the Tokico or the Bilstein.

You are talking about KYB, not tokico.

The combo is well known here on EvoM
GSR version recommended over the MR version.
MR version is recommended for MR bilstein, not HDs

It's hard for me to tell for sure in the pics because of the angles and the springs in the way. The perch does however slide off and can be put on the wrong way. I'm guessing if it's upside down it may be adding more preload to the spring and not allowing the car to settle properly.

Yeah, I'd look at the rear spring perch.

You need Swift springs for the EVO MR part number 4M017. Which is for the Bilstein shocks. This is the exact problem if you run a gsr spring on an MR. The Bilsten's are a higher pressure shock specifically in the rear, hence the increase in rideheight.

My guess would be to eliminate noise.

For MR Bilsteins - yes.

For HDs - no.

And looking at last pic....99% sure your rear perches are upside-down.

OP: Do you have pics of the rear struts installed on your car? One from the outside with the wheel removed and one of the inside of the trunk so we can see how you attached to them.

P.S.: Hey, that pic looks familiar ...

NM on the pic request. After looking at the OP's pics again, I agree that the rear perches are upside-down.

I owe you all a beer. I didn't even realize that the perchs was something that can be moved: the struts came to me with the perchs already mounted upside down on them.
I switched the perchs tonight. Now ride height is a lot lower.
Because of the suspension geometry ratio, a little height difference
on struts result in a much bigger difference in ride height.
BIG Thanks to all for your help.

Some pictures:

Struts were mounted like this:

Red arrow point the lip that should normally be hidden by the lower perch.

This side goes up:

This side goes down:

It looks obvious but when you go fast and don't really care, you have to redo the job twice (+ I was a noob hahahaha).

Again thanks for all your help, and I hope this thread will prevent someone to do this mistake again !!
