brake master cylinder size?

I am just wondering what the size of the Brake Master Cylinder is on the VIII/IX. I am looking to upgrade my Mirage since I own Evo VIII Brembo's.

I think its a 17mm on my IX.... there is a lot more to a brake system than just the MC... 'upgrade' is a lose term unless you know what you are doing.

whaa?? how "sure" are you about that? (I'm not)

Normally on vehicles built with metric units, they put metric units on everything....
For instance, on a lot of Honda's its 22... means 22mm, not 22/16.

Yep I'm sure, the non brembo'd evos come with 1" MCs, which you can tell by the 1 cast into the body, I would postan extract out of the service manual but I dont have them handy anymore.

Anything more than 17/16" MC is getting pretty large and more people the pedal effort would be too much, I'd probably like it though, I like a nice high hard pedal.
