Its been around longer then I thought. I do think its starting to subside a little bit but its still going strong. I'm actually interested to see what the next automotive fad is gonna be and which car culture sets it.

This was as stupid as neon lights and crazy body kits.

in all seriousness though i think there is a stanced sub forum here, or so i've heard. posting here will just get you flamed by people who would rather be on this forum flaming than driving their car

dude, everything u just said is what makes this forum such a great place. THIS IS A PERFORMANCE CAR, not a civic!!!

No. people don't NEED to respect silly little kids ruining one of the best performing cars there is.

you're loosing a lot more than "a little" grip with your flying saucer stance. maybe your wheels will just break off and this hella dumb fad will end.

Yeah, but that was harmless compared to kiddies driving around on the sidewall of their tires. It would serve them right to run into trees and rid us of their stupidity.

Sorry you guys I think hellaflush wasnt the correct word. I was more looking for coilovers that will give me the best ride, handling, and stance. By stance I mean just a even drop all the way around. I do dd my car so I was thinking tein basic coilovers or stance gr+? What you guys think.

General school of thought is that anything under 1500 is about the same. For the money if you are going to get Tein Basics just get Fortune Auto.....out of all the sub 2k coilovers they seem to be the best.

Maybe that rusty hood fad will get bigger. I was going to jump on that bandwagon, then remembered my hood is aluminum...

Smurf's response was pretty spot on. I will add that I've heard the tein's ride like complete **** on the street, that's not from experience though. Otherwise, the Apexi ex-v's ride EXTREMELY well on the street. They to me felt very, very similar to my stock bilsteins on the street. But, I couldn't barrel over speedbumps and humps at full speed like I used to. They are also super light. if you pretend all the lower priced coilovers are the exact same in performance, the weight of the EX-V's put them a notch above in my book. And the smooth ride.

For an "even stance" though, it's just how they are setup. It's not like a spring that you install and is non-adjustable. coilovers have lots of adjustment. Calculate having a good shop install and setup the car into your coilover price, and it'll make the whole thing a lot better, including your results after install.
