So i looked at the strut does not appear to be leaking. I checked the floor in my garage the bubble is in the middle but you can see there is a slight tilt to the right surprisingly where the right wheel sits both ways, I dont even think its enough to make a difference. I pressed down the trunk the car comes up on both sides it does not stay down. The struts are black with a yellow stripe on them (dont know if they are oem or not) Who knows any other thoughts?

I'm gonna side with the people who think its the strut. I recently pulled my bilsteins off my MR(95,000). There wasn't a ton of oil leaking every where but there was some residue built up on both. I could fully compress both struts easily with one hand, compared to the new struts that I had to use both hands and they got progressively harder as they compressed. When I installed the new struts the car appeared to set higher in the front than it did before. My wife even said it sat higher so i don't think it was just me. Hope this helps

Yea its probably my strut i just wish there was a way to confirm it without having to take it off and have to put it back on

I feel ya, the process of putting the spring and struts and top hats together on these cars is a PITA......

How did you know your struts needed to be replaced?

Well I had a really bad clunk on the driver side. I tore it down to check the strut mounts and they were pretty bad. My struts had a lot of rust and while tearing them down I broke off the stud that holds the brake lines on so I had to zip tie them on. Considering my struts had 95K on them and their was a oil residue built up on the shaft I just ordered some new ones. When comparing the new struts to the old ones I realized how bad my struts really were. The car rides totally different now as well as sitting a little higher.
