steering wheel feels loose when hitting a bump mid turn

something is up with my front steering/suspension as the steering doesn't feel right.

when turning at moderate speed, and i hit a big bump mid turn, the steering feels loose for a split second and the car as if it looses the firmness of it.
normal driving & speed it doesn't have this issue.

what could be the cause of this?

running 2 way koni adjustibles with 10kg custom springs, oem front anti sway, whiteline 24mm adj rear anti sway.

dampers have been set to 1/4 turn front, 1 turn rear.

any help would be great.

thanks.

I'm assuming you checked all the suspension bolts to ensure they are all tight? Tie Rods, wheel bearings,... those as well?

Is the car slammed? That can mess up the geometry causing some wicked bump steer.

I checked a suspension related bolts to ensure they are tight.

Car is not slammed, it is lowered 1" all round

With the car on the ground and off (key in so steering doesnt lock), have someone jerk the steering wheel back and forth (not a fast sawing motion, get some effort in to each direction). Then get on the ground and start inspecting every joint. Put your hand on them so you can feel if there is a shift in the joint relative to the pivoting part. Also check the wheel bearings and swaybar bushings.

Tight doesn't mean anything if something is worn out.

Sounds like you need a whiteline bump steer correction kit.
