I've turned a 180 before after a good 15 minute highway drive and broke the rear end so free that the car actually spun 270 degrees, then after I corrected for it, it whipped the rear end back in the other direction 90 degrees off of where I was wanting to go. Yeah, I was a little on the gas, but I was at a dead stop just before I turned the 180. I've also barked the tires when changing to second on a few occasions while taking corners. This isn't just a "bark the front inside wheel"....This is more like "front wheel barks, rear end gets way loose" and quite fun (scary for passengers). I've done it both from a 6500 rpm gear change from first to second and also from a 4500-or-so rpm gear change from first to second. I have the stock Advans on my car with just over 14,000 miles and over half the tread left on them.

The conti's are pretty easy to break lose. I can break them lose by nailing it in first gear going straight. The whole rear end gets squirmish. but I love my conti's in the snow true champs Cant beat the price either. Miss my advans dam winter.

Tested my Cusco Twin-Plate out last night!

I can spin tires now! 6K Rpm drops in 20 Degree whether spins them! I broke all four wheels loose sideways by accident when I first got the car. That was in warm whether driving too fast.

guys, more treadwear on tires will equal less traction. Winter tires are going to be easy to burn out in. Slap some stickys on, and your not burning nothing out. Unless your launching hard of course.

Im on the stock Advans and i can get her sideways anytime i want. Now i never have been able to smoke them in a straight line unless it was raining outside but i also dont have allot of mods to do it. But anyway your right those tires would be easy to smoke but i just wanted to make a point that as soon as that boost kicks on even on the stickies she will get sideways.

I'm planning a little more, that is why I ask. Still have the Advan's sitting in the shed.
I have the P2 and axle back and I have no problems breaking loose the Advan's in corners, hot or cold.

Even in my under-powered Eclipse GSX, at least compared to you Evos, I can still break my tires loose at 15 miles an hour on corners with ease. Sometimes it'll even spin on a damp road when boost hits in first gear going straight. This is when I have the stock wheels (16x6.5" I believe) on with all season tires though. My 17x8" BBS wheels will go back on in a week or 2 and the grip comes right back. It'll still spin a little on corners but the extra contact patch with the wider wheel and tire makes all the difference in the world!
