Im sort of having a similar shuddering problem when I apply light to moderate braking at 40+ mph...pedal thumps and steering wheel shakes. Rotors are stock brembos with 92k on them and the hawk hps pads have about 20k miles...(mainly highway miles)

i put pads on early last year (wont name the brand cause they are pretty popular) and had all sorts of issues with what i thought was being warped cause i had the rotors turned. replaced with oem rotors and it came back a month later. changed pads and the issue slowly went away. if i drove the car aggressively the pads were fine and wouldnt leave deposits and thats where my problem was cause i dont drive aggressive very often. i even did what they said on there website for bedding procedures.

Do you think StopTech published the article in my link he wrote because they thought it would sell more rotors? Do you know how to read?

I have had a shuddering brake pedal with my last two sets of pads (PF and Stoptech) and Powerslot rotors. I have given up and have gotten rebuilt calipers and stock brakes and rotors. Expensive but the stock parts lasted 80k with no problem. At 40k I switched to Hawk pads and got 40k not miles before this trouble with the shuddering on applying the brakes. I will instal soon and will report back if the shuddering returns.
