Rotor suggestion

Need help everyone!! Im gonna replace these old beat up stock rotors. Im looking at the brembo drilled rotors from lancershop or the stoptech aero set. Which is a beter choice and if theres other suggestions please chime in. I need something affordable, not a big brembo brake kit. Thanks in advance

I like the DBA 5000 series but there a bit pricey but I think the DBA 4000 series is a little cheaper or the giro disc , either of these in the slotted version . I think lancershop may carry these still.

what is your application?

for a daily driver with basic requirements, RotorPros or PowerSlot blanks should be fine.

if you're looking to spend more money or track you car, Girodisc 2-Piece.

Well I don't think the ones you mentioned are bad, there brembos but I prefer the DBA's. There great rotors and used in many racing events but still very good for a street car when paired up with a good street pad. I personally like the slotted but drilled /slotted look nice also. The DBA's are only $50 more then the Brembos I think. I run the DBA 4000 on my 335 xi and there great. When my evo's stocks go I know what rotors I'm buying next.

Would you consider them better than the brembos, an whats the diff between slotted and drilled/slotted?

In my opinion yes. I would do a little research on the DBA's. I have never heard any negative feedback on them. As far as slotted vs drilled /slotted theres not much difference. The purpose of the holes and slots are to release gases that form when your brakes get super hot and it allows the pad to come in contact with the rotor. I like the slotted because theres still a lot of material. If you do slotted/drilled thats more material removed from the rotor. You would be fine with either for your application.

Or, if you want to purchase brand new, why not get blank rotors? Affordable is $150 before S&H/taxes for all four rotors from KNS Brakes.

You'll be surprised how long the stock rotors will last.. Check to see if your within spec and just get them cut or "turned". Save a few bucks for better brake pads.

If you're daily driving the vehicle, I'd suggest cheap blanks. You want more pad surface area for a better bite, or if you need cooling get brake ducts.. Far more efficient.

Centric Rotors with the black finish are nice (same rotors used for the Stoptechs, just with slots). I've had the DBA 4000 series for a couple months and they're great. But I'd only recommend them if your tracking or autox'ing your car. Kinda overkill for a DD

Truth, my stockers are still going strong as far as life although I do need to get them turned, I've got 105k on them.
