Tirado Custom Coating - defunct or just clowns?

It's time to get the Brembos powder coated. This Tirado place came highly recommended. No phone number on their website, which is a huge personal turn-off for me, but i shot them a detailed email because i heard they do excellent work.

That was a week ago and never got a reply. Are they out of businees or just a bunch of clowns? Who runs a business and doesn't leave a phone number on their website?

Anyway guess this is a two part question.

I'm in Charlotte, NC so if anybody knows a good local powedercoater that actually wants my business, some contact info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Carlos is legit. I know he had several big events going on that could be the reason for slower response. I know this because he has my calipers right now. I've had good communication with him via email and FB. Try him there.

Search his name here and see where alot of members are having issues with getting products back. He started off great, done a good job on everything, but has now had alot of complaints on getting products returned back to the owners, super long wait time, and just overall bad customer service. It took me several weeks just to get prices on on manifold coating and no ETA on return.

I had issues with Tirado even at his peak when everyone was praising him. Thats the reason I sent my stuff out to him, because he seemed to have a good rep on here. Took forever to get my stuff back and horrible communcation. I would go elsewhere imo.

I wanted to get my calipers powdercoated from them too about half a year ago. I emailed them and never got a reply, so I ended up going somewhere local to get done

I'd stay away. I paid him to coat my valve cover (exchange program) and never received anything. Couldn't get in touch with him for 2 months. Finally disputed it with my credit card and finally he refunded my money.

Try Justin at Detective Coatings. Seems much more responsive.

Carlos did me the same way! Stay away from TCC... charges top dollar and the job was rushed by looking at the paint. I waited over 3 months for a B- powder coat job

Nothing but good from Detective Coatings from me as well. He turned my calipers around super fast for me too. I would highly recommend him.

Did they replace the seals on it too? And if you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for this service. Thanks.

I had TCC do my brembos and valve cover a couple years back. My valve cover had a crack in it so I had to buy a new one and didn't get the old one back. The wait was a little long also. I had wheels done at Detective Coatings and have nothing but good things to say about Justin. I had a tight deadline for the shootout and he met it no problem. I would get a hold of Justin for sure.
