I own a evo 8 gsr with stock suspension. I got given a set of MR bilstein strut with gf210 springs. I'm wanting to soften the ride a bit as I have rough roads. Heard bilstein struts are better for daily but not sure about the tanabe springs as I've read it's harsher.

I know one thing for sure is to use the bilstein but should I leave the tanabe gf210 or swap them with the GSR stock springs for a smoother ride? Also is the kyb strut springs same as the MR since the kyb struts are different to bilstein?

Swift springs are a good choice it's what i have and many other Evos.

AFAIK all of the factory Evo 8 spings are identical regardless of base/MR/RS trim - this is at least for any given model year...
