Swift spec r noise

So I changed my spring last night to drop my car of 1.4 inch

The thing is, it dropped of like 0.5 inch... And it makes sounds when I turn without moving.

Friend said it will "sit" in his place after 1-2 weeks and will drop it of 1.4 inch... And will stop making that noise...

What do you think?

Sounds to me like the spring isnt seating in its perch properly. I'd take a look and make sure that isnt the case.

Huh?

Its really straight forward when you are looking at it. The spring isnt perfectly flat on the bottom.Look at where the spring starts and make sure that is sitting on the bottom most part of the perch. Its hard to explain in words but it will make sense when its in front of you.

Ok i'll take a look at this.

And yeah since I changed this I have to get it "aligned" (not sure on the term) should I wait or get it done asap?

Yeah I wasnt sure if you said you already got the car aligned or not. You will definitely need an alignment when its all said and done but make sure the springs are installed properly first before you get your car aligned or else you will need to take it back apart fix it and then realign.

Is there a way to move the springs without removing the whole shock?

I'd make sure the springs are correct and drive the car for a couple weeks then get an alignment. gives everything time to settle and that 1" drop isn't going to kill anything in that time period

means it's not going to wear out tires or cause any damage or anything like that in such a short timeframe

alignment isn't gonna help the car if the springs aren't sitting in the perches properly

All an alignment is going to do is lighten up your wallet. Please dont ask a question and then disregard the feedback you get on here. We are trying to help you out. After all if you know better than why bother posting in the first place?

like others have posted, the alignment has nothing to do with the springs, first check the installation to make sure the springs are properly seated.
