Best coilovers?

I am putting my money into a set of MR Bilsteins to get my car off the megan coils it's on now. Once I have the time to put into setting my car up for time attack it is more than likely going to get a nice set of Ohlins R&T coils. I would think the Bilsteins would be more than enough for what you want them to do Whereas a setup like Ohlins or KW will set you back a good bit and you may not need them.
The only reason I don't just go ahead with the Ohlins now is because we get bad winters, and I want a decent suspension that I'm not going to beat up over the winter.
Not saying don't go for the Ohlins, by all means do. I guess it just depends on how far you want to take your car.

I'd agree.
It's nice that you answered such a question. Most people would just respond with SEARCH or give a vague answer.

Another option to look at is AST. I have had a set for a couple years and they have worked out great for me. A little cheaper than the ohlins. You can get custom spring rates also.

Ohlins are awesome and expensive. I have AST's on my 135i, they're pretty good but the dampening leaves something to be desired. I'm no professional driver so for me honestly the AST's are plenty good for a fun track day. Don't put coils on a daily though, go for a nice set of struts and springs.

KW is another great option that is a little bit easier on the wallet than a set of Ohlins.

+1 for Ohlins Road and Track. If I HAD to go with coilovers for a dd for whatever reason, these would be them. I personally wouldn't spend the money just to have coilovers if its just gonna be daily driven though.
Fwiw though, I have ridden in cars with properly setup ohlins that had better manners on the streets than the oem kyb/oem springs. Like I said though, much better to justify the price difference though, not me.

Had KW V1 on my BMW 330i it handled so amazing on the street and track that it makes my evo x stock suspension feel like garbage ! Evo X's body roll is out of control even DD in turns ..... I just bought KW V3s for the EVO X cant wait to install them ! will report back

I'm one of the few knuckleheads that has Ohlin's and just daily's my car (sometime not even all that often) and I don;t regret the purchase at all.
