Question Front suspension top mounts installation question

My question is if the standard top mounts are directional ?

I figured that they were not. But after watching this(skip to 26:20): youtube link

I need your opinion.

To make sure, the top mount I am talking about is piece #3 here in the picture below:

ps: also, here under #2 : http://www.evomoto.com/tech_articles..._article_id=22 they tell to mark the outer stud so that when you assemble the thing together you put it in the direction it came off. But since I installed a brand new top mount/insulator should there be a directionality to it?

ps: top mounts are brand new ones

The stock top mounts are not directional. Once you have them in hand you will see that they are actually symmetrical thus they can be oriented in any manor that bolts up and they will be correct.

heel2toe,

I looked up the technical manual, and it had no information regarding directionality whatsoever. Besides, being an average dumbass, having had them in my hands first thing I did is just install them lol

And now, post installation I seek information on proper way installing these...

So thanks for confirming that they are probably not directional.

I love your short story...maybe not the best way to go about things but you do get lucky sometimes.

Anyways no worries I'm glad it worked out in this case.

FYI in the future if you were to put on a set of camber plates you will need to orient those properly.
