ACD Pump

I'm just wondering, which most ACD pumps going bad all the time, why there isn't a tuner company that tries to develop an aftermarket one, make it betted and sell it cheaper that Mitsubishi dealership?

I doubt enough people would buy it for them to make a profit off of it.

The mechanical hydraulic part of the system is not super complex. As in the wheel isn't reinvented here, it's a pump with an accumulator. It's already been said that the accumulator can be changed with off the shelf units. The pump shouldn't have requirements that are crazy out of line to find. Perhaps a valve might be the toughest to find but I think there's solutions whether it be from a farm tractor or select specialty product line. What's your budget ?

or you could just ditch your acd t/c for a non-acd and save yourself a headache. not many people take advantage of the acd system as it is

There are companies that reflash the ACD ecu, like:

http://www.acd-tuning.com

And companies that rebuild ACD pumps, like:

http://www.acd-pump.com

^^^ACD-tuning.com has been out of business for sometime now. That guy was a douchebag that just up and quit taking countless pumps, ecus, and money from people.
There is a thread on here somewhere.

edit: ACD Tuning still around?

If you removed the ACD and put in some old-school limited-slip device on the center, such as a VC, would you be obligated to rename the car?
