ACD Tuning still around?

March 4, 2014. Updating this post to see if that helps get some traction on resolving the lap for ACD Tuning jobs that are que'd up:

Here are a list of members with jobs out to ACD Tuning (let me know if you need to be on here and I will update):

TotalOwnage - pump and ACD ECU
Chafed Banana - pump, spare electric motor
EvoGirl68 - ACD ECU
srphoenix - rebuild kit
EvoGirl68 - ACD ECU

My OP below.......

I was wondering if anyone knows if Matt of ACD Tuning is on vacation somewhere for a while or if he is still operating? I ordered and paid for the ACD pump tester and rebuild kit on the 31st and haven't gotten any acknowledgement or communication. I hope he is OK and all that.

At first I thought its just because of the holidays but I have left a few emails and a VM. No answer. I am not sure if I checked correctly but it seems like his last post was in September and that started getting me more nervous that I need to get a paypal refund or something for my 450 bucks. Is there something I don't know or didn't catch on the forums. If anyone knows let me know if I need to worry about my payment.

I'd like to know this as well. Ordered a rebuild kit on the 7th and I haven't heard anything back yet as far as a confirmation or tracking number.

Crap, I ordered mine a week before you, on the 31st. I really need an email or call back, don't you guys think?

Also, did you order the tester or just the rebuild kit? I ordered both.

I've called and emailed multiple times and not a single response. I'm guessing they have a rush of requests since we were hit with a pretty bad cold front recently.

Well I still haven't seen my pump rebuild kit arrive and he said he shipped it Sat. Noticed that his phone number is no longer on the website either. Getting pretty frusterated now, at least paypal can refund the money if need be.

Just a quick copy/paste from the website, could explain a few things.
Website News
ACD-Tuning will be turning over business to a new party for pump rebuilds and kit sales. I will post the new company's details on this site when everything has been confirmed and all supplies transferred over. All previous orders will be honored and shipped this week. We will no longer be taking any orders for rebuilds or kits. We can still supply custom ACD flashes for customers who want the best handling for their Evo.

Thanks for the update apexr, hopefully there aren't any more delays. The evo drives awful without that pump..

Yes, unfortunately ACD tuning is going out of the ACD rebuild kit business, however, a new company will handle the distribution of kits in the North American continent and there will be an announcement soon. We still have some stock in the US ready for distribution, and there are some new parts coming so I hope to have an announcement soon. I will talk with the new guy about becoming a vendor on the site, so that we are ok with evom.

Also, I urge the local EVO shops to start overhauling the pumps themselves and we will be here to help with the parts and advice, of course.

I would like to thank Matt @ ACD tuning for his work, with whose help a great number of people managed to get their pumps fixed at a lesser cost than OE, and I hope we managed to clear up the pump issue which, I think, is a major problem on evo's world wide.

Also, my personal appologies to all that have waited for their kits for too long, as this was usually my fault.. Please understand this is more of a hobby of mine and my main business has been taking too much of my time.

best

vlado

That would have been good information to post as intentions to transfer, sell, the business before I spent 500 bucks. That information was added after my order.

Also, and email blast to all email account on order or all customers would have been the appropriate thing to do as a 15 minute task. Maybe I am still missing a detail, but this doesn't seem the appropriate way to handle a business or its transition. Lets see how the catch up of orders goes, because this also raises the question of any support on the existing products or orders. I am an optimist and love to help small business, individual business, especially when it comes to this hobby, but I did put an order in December for a 500 dollar product and haven't received any communication. That is heading towards three weeks. I'd say I am a pretty patient guy so far. Lets see if they can make up for the blunder.

To maintain the brand and customer loyalty they should probably offer something to the customers that were in limbo during this transition and had to wonder about their money.

Thanks for the response. Could you see if my order can be unstuck. I placed it on Dec31st, so now its 3 weeks, money pay palled then, and I haven't heard anything. I believe others have been caught up that ordered later, so maybe something in my order is causing an issue. I ordered the rebuild and the tester kit.

Thanks!
