Varrstoen Es111 wheel setup help needed

Hey guys I am ready to order some new wheels for my evo9 mr GG. Posting to get some feedback and advice. Has anyone had this wheel on your evo? Pics would be appreciated. Varrstoen ES111

First off I have H&R lowering springs on my stock bilsteins. 1.4" F and 1.2" R drop. I am still looking into what kind of tire and tire size I want and need. Any suggestions? Was thinking maybe 255/35. Nothing to expensive. I don't want to rub at all.

Also I'm thinking of going with 18X9.5 12mm offset . I heard this clears brembos just fine.

Hoping someone on this site has had this set up and would give me useful information. Thanks in advance fellas. Can't wait till I get them on.

That width and offset will not clear the rear fender. best to go with at minimum a +22 offset to fit a 255/35 tires with rolling and decent pulling of the rear fender, run a front spacer to clear the caliper. Ideally you'll run a +35 offset, run 265/35 tires, roll the rear fender flat, and run a front spacer to clear the brembo.

I looked it up. Some guy has them on his and I guess they clear both front and rear brembos and maybe a minor rear fender roll. I'm still open tho. Thanks man.

Still don't know what tires to try this time. My last set up I was wrapped on bf Goodrich tires. Pretty good tire. But thinking of try something similar or better.

The above reply was spot on. +12 does not work "correctly" on a stock body EVO

If this is Stance thing, then someone might suggest running a tire that is not approved for the rim width & running out of spec rear camber

If you are looking for function > form then +12 will not work

That's where I seen someone that had them fitted on. I want stance but with function. As much as I can at least. I mean I doubt 12mm and 22mm offset look way different anyone. Might just go 22. Still debating on brand of tires and size.

yeah, i don't think any reasonable amount of fender roll and pull is going allow a 9.5" +12 mm offset rim to fit.

That setup is 100% incorrect fitment, and looks silly. Tires are stretched to the point of being useless. That's why the wheel "fits".

+12 and +22 do look a lot different. I personally do like how the evo looks with 18x9.5 +22 with a 255/35r18. With the right drop (fairly low) and proper rear fender work it clears, and the tire doesn't look to small.

18x9.5 +22 will also require significant rolling and it will have a aggressive stanced, or IMHO, a low rider appearance.

Okay so I went ahead a ordered these bad boys. Ordered 4 18x9.5 with 22offset.

Thinking maybe 10mm spacers up front? Best way to find out? Mount one on?

Also decided on going with the Nitto Neo gens. I can't seem to find 255/35/18 in this tire though. Closest I found was 245/40/18. Would that work?

Thanks for all the help fellas

Just got them in. What you guys think? 18x9.5 22offset

Still wondering about tire size will 245/40/18 be to stretched?

With a 22offset will I need rolled rears and 10mm spacers up front?

Need info guys, ordering my tires Friday. Thanks again.
