Some advanced brake part swap question

Hi,

Got an evo 9 gsr, im workin to build a track evo, currently i am on the brakes.

What i am gonna do is using 2 piece girodisc front rotos of evo x and 6 pot cadillac cts-v calipers with hawk dtc 70's on the front, and for the rear im planning to use evo x stock size rotors (330mm) with the oem evo 9 front calipers which are 4 pots again with dtc70's.

Got pedal box with two master cylinder to bias adjust the system due to track requirements.

Im gonna use 295/30/18 trofeo r's all around on 18x10.5 prodrive gc05 rims.

Here in Turkey, we got an opportunity to race on Istanbul Park which is an F1 circuit, so things are a tad serious here then the other local tracks.

Well anyway, the thing is im fine with the front setup, gonna build a proper bracket and they are goin to work like a charm. But the rear part is intriguing due to different hub reg of evo x rear rotors.

As you know evo 9 rears hub reg is 90mm but the evo x is 80mm. Due to i dont have an evo x, i cant check how hard will it be to use evo x rear rotors on my evo 9 and i need some info about that.

If any of you done that kinda swap (evo x rears on evo 9) please share some info about that, i dont wanna gamble tbh. Thanks.

Ah btw gonna make a DIY topic when my parts are here about that brake work, cheers

Hub reg is easy to fix with a lathe. Would hardly take a few minutes to turn the center bore out on the evo x rotors to fit the 9 hubs..

I see that some ppl put a sleeve inside the drum to use evo x rotors on evo 9. Well i got another idea which can fix that in a much easier way then they do. Its easy to make the pads thicker, we call it "balata cakmak". The procedure is something like shoeing a horse with ticker horseshoe.

First, As long as im gonna swap front calipers to rear, im gonna make a bracket.
Second, gonna machine the hub reg to 90mm to fit on evo 9 hub
Third, gonna make the ebrake pads thicker to fit the larger bore of the evo x drum.

Did i get it right?
