NT03 fitment question

Hey guys, I know it's probably been covered but I have searched and had trouble finding out what I need. I just picked up a pair of 18x9.5 +40 nt03's. Ive read that I'm going to have to run spacers to clear the brembos, so I need to know what size spacer to run to clear the front brembos. Thanks for any help in advance.

Most guys just run the +40 in the rear & a +27 up front

Burn through this thread & should help you make a decision. Running the +40 up front may require a very large & not recommended spacer

With running a 10 mm spacer up front, how much clearance are we talking for the brembos?

From what I've read, I see a 25mm for the front with the +40 but no one has any pics of what that looks like in comparison to the front calipers, which is what I need to know.

First post he is running a 25mm spacer with his +40 wheels. Id recomment getting longer ARP wheel studs and a slip on spacer.

I did read that, but there's no picture of how much clearance there is unfortunately. I'd like to have a safe clearance but I'm also going for the minimum amount of spacing. I hope I don't get flamed for this comment lol.

+40 + 25mm spacer = +15, effectively.
+27 + 10mm spacer = +17, effectively.

my +27 with the 10mm spacer, had plenty of room. i believe as small as 8mm would work, if someone made one.

+15 would have even more room. the only thing i'm not sure of is that the +27 and +40 may have different spoke design, though they look similar.
i'd sell the +40s to someone that owns a Honda and buy +27s. they fit and look AWESOME. plus, a 25mm spacer is kinda scary, though i'm sure it's safe.

just my opinion, though.

I hear you, I have the same opinion on the 25mm that's why I'm trying to stay as far away from it as possible. I just question if the 25mm is fully about clearance, or partially about looks. My wheels have some pretty good concave to them, so I question if a 25mm spacer is truly required to clear.

i'm going to say clearance, because nobody wants to HAVE to fit a really wide wheel into the fenders. i could be wrong, though.
plus, when they are spaced out farther, they sometimes hit the fender liners more than normal. they also toss rocks on your paint.
again, i'm just guessing.

if it makes you feel better, i track my car with a 20mm spacer on the front. i don't like it, but it works. it's the bolt-on kind. i've never had an issue and decided i was okay with it after talking with a guy that tracked his car, for three years, with 20mm spacers all around. i have a theory that it places more stress on the hubs, but i'm told i'm crazy LOL.

anyway, they work without any problems. if you are going to daily/weekend warrior the car, i'd say you are fine. the guy in that thread obviously tracks his setup too.

That very much makes me feel better about it, I'm gonna look and see tomorrow what I need for clearance. I'll keep you all posted on what I find.
