When the hell did I talk **** about the pirellis Hoosiers only come in 245's. I decided I don't want to modify the fenders too much, so I will try to stick with the 265's. 245 hoosiers will have pretty much the same grip as the A048's in 265, if not less. I think with the A048's, I will have more grip than the hoosiers and less treadwear.

Oh, btw, I don't know the life span on the advan or the hoosier, so don't get mad if I am wrong about that(I still think the advan will last longer). But I think the advan, even tho it is a little more, will prove to be more cost efficient and better than the hoosier in the long run.

A048 looks like track tires...
You should call TireRack... if they do not heat up fast enough then
they wont do you any good at autox...

Read a test Yokohama did on their performance tires on a HKS Kansai modified EVO VIII. Tires used were stock A046 on Advan RG wheels, New Advan Neova AD07 stock size on the same RG wheel. A-048 245/40/18 on TCII wheels. Track times were:

Stock A046 1'28"164
Neova 1'26"977
A-048 1'24"649

Pretty interesting what good tires will do.

30mm offset, the spokes clear the brakes with a good 6-7 mm to spare. These are going to be stricktly track wheels shortly. I have 24/40 hoosiers i am going to mount to them.

I'm thinking of running volk le37's as street wheels... that or the gram light 57pro
