caster adjustable
caster adjustable
I put springs on and had my Evo realigned.
Camber and toe is right where I want it, BUT right front caster is 2.7 and left front caster is 4.1 with a specified range if 3.1 to 4.1
Cross caster is 1.4 with specified range of -.1 to 1.0 Cross SAI is perfect though at .0
They told me that the caster wasn't adjustable..and that I would be fine because my cross SAI is 0.0
Is it adjustable? Will it be fine with those caster settings?

It is not adjustable.
That is decent amount of cross caster to have, don't know if you can feel it or not but it can affect the drivability. Not really much you can do because the lower control arm is a fixed position.

Dude, I have the same thing!!! A very good local alignment shop (they are endorsed by the local Porsche mechanics) read my caster off by that much as well at 5000mi. My car used to pull to the left after I lowered it, but now it seems to run straight. I just rotated my tires at 10000mi and there were no uneven or chopped tire wear at all!!!
When getting it aligned they actually asked me if I had hit anything with it. They said it usually isn't off like that unless I have wrecked it or hit something...which I haven't.
Since asking this question I also read on a Subaru message board...where a WRX had a similar problem..they told him it could be a bent lower control arm or result of being wrecked.
It doesn't feel like anything is wrong when driving but I'm still tempted to take it to the dealer and see what going on.
I'm sure they will say it's a result of the lowering springs....

Yeah. The dealer will probably say that. I want to tell them that springs will change camber and toe, but not caster. You probably have to pull the Magne???-Moss act on them. I have TEINs and I think they are hella better than the stockers.
The alignment shop also asked me if I hit anything like a pothole or somethin.
Maybe its common to all EVOs and were the first ones to gripe about it?

Different caster left-to-right is not uncommon. It's used to get the car to track straight on crowned roads, otherwise the car would constantly pull.
Check other Evos to see what they measure in at - create a poll ?

I had the dealer check my alignment at around 6000 miles after I heard about them being off from the factory. I don't remember what the numbers were, but I'll look tonight. Where did you get yours aligned at Eli? I'm going to try and get mine done in the next 2 weeks.
I got it aligned at Tire Discounters in Milford. It was free when I purchased my Victoracers. I got a good deal on the Kumho's and they have several workers at that store that autox and set it up exactly how I wanted. -1.8 front camber and -.7 to -.9 rear camber with 0 toe front and rear. They told me if I wanted to come back and have it "tweaked" a little after I ran it, it wouldn't be a problem.
The caster problem is just a little annoying. I'm hoping Wyler Mitsu will look at it without trying to blame it on the spring install.

Which Wyler? Steve, at the one in Florence has been outstanding regarding my car. Not a single hassle, and I bug them about little **** all the time. Might be worth the trip.
