Tires

What is the best tire size to fit on 18 x 8.5? my current tires seem to be not wide enough and appear stretched....

245/40r18 is going to be the size you want for that wheel.

Thank you guys! Any recommendations on brand? Not for track or snow. Just normal dry/wet road driving with occasional road rage

i really liked my Hankook RS4. Worked well for my needs. Daily spirited driver. Great grip on warm days. does well in the rain and has lasted me longer than i expected (frequent tire rotations)

I can confirm again. I have the same wheel spec and run 235/45/18 but will be getting 245's next as stated earlier. just seems it would fit even better. no stretch or anything it just could be wider.

45 is the wrong aspect ratio, it's too tall. Should be running a 40.

So seems like 245/40/R18 is the answer?

I was really surprised with how well mine did at Laguna Seca. I was on OEM Evo eight wheels and 235 tires. I don't remember them ever getting greasy and they wear like iron. They were my daily driver wheels and tires and I really didn't expect much. I was pleasantly surprised. Not bad for a relatively cheap tire.

*edit found a pic. I was not taking it easy on them.
