Evo 7-9 Extended ball joints

I am looking for specs on evo 7-9 lower ball joints. I know they normally come prepressed into the control arms but I am also aware of aftermarket ball joints for roll center correction. I am looking to find extended ball joints for my 2005 lancer ralliart. I know the press fit size for the ralliart is 1.571”. I am trying to figure out if the whiteline extended ball joints are the same size press fit. I have tried contacting whiteline with no luck. Does anyone have a set they can measure or know the press fit size for evo 7-9 ball joints.

I dont think Whiteline makes them for that control arm. This is because the Evo control arm is cast aluminum and the Ralliart ones are most likely pressed and stamped steel. Maybe you could try upgrading the suspension arms to Evo ones.

No the point he is making is that the evo control arm is cast aluminum and the lancer one is steel. Undoubtedly a different part all together.

I understand the control arm itself is different but I am curious as to whether the ball joint is the same pressfit diameter. Doesn’t have to be the same ball joint itself but if the press fit diameter is the same then I can make the knuckle work but I’d like to use the stock control arm. I just want to see if I can get a measurement from anyone who has the whiteline ball joints and hasn’t installed them yet.

My bad, I see what you need to know now. I measured my spare Evo control arm. I assume the Whiteline ball joint is slightly larger or the same as the stock balljoint. Looks to be 1.5375"

Here is picture of the measurement:

that’s exactly what I needed. The spec on the ralliart ball joints are a maximum press fit of 1.571” which would make them bigger then the evo ones. The evo ones you measured were probably a bit bigger before they were pressed in so maybe there is a chance they will work. I’m going to do some more digging and get my hands on some spare control arms to see how the hole in them measures.
