We installed the HKS Kansai 3-way adjustable bar in our car. I don't know what your hangup is. Ours came out with no issues.

if you drop one of the rear lower control arm (2 bolts), you can get the stock rear bar out with no problem.

I wouldn't waste your time and money changing STBs.

What future roll bars you needs depends on what spring rates you end up with and rather or not your car is giving you understeer or oversteer. Correct to much body roll with stiffer springs not sway bars.

Agreed. We have Ohlins PCV 10kg/m fronts, 8kg/m rears. We couldn't get any kind of oversteer tendency, so we added HKS Kansi 3 way adjustable sway in the rear... STILL no oversteer tendency. During the Evo Orgy, SCC Magazine, the only TWO cars that can rotate around were: Factory Evoltuion RS, and Road Race's car. ...perhaps because of the front LSD? ....maybe rear alignment.

Have you had any issues with damage to the subframe where the larger rear bar mounts?
I had that problem with an Integra GSR I used to have. That car sure did turn in with the big bar, but I am a little shy about the upgrade on my EVO since I had to WELD re-enforcments to the Acura sub-frame.
