well that's pretty cool, I actually haven't seen that many pictures of Evo's with the cooked brembo's to be honest... do they still stop pretty well when they get up to those temperatures?

The wheels are clean because the factory air guides are working! (you can actually see that the outer portion of the rim is pretty dark with brake dust and rubber scraps)

The test was run on Ferodo DS3000's front and 2500's rear , AP 551 racing brake fluid, Toyo RA1's and I have the factory air guides ( with the splash guards still installed )
How do you like the Toya RA1's? I've been debating on the Toyos or the Kumho Ecsta V700's for my next track tires. Any thoughts?

As much as Brownbos are a sign of track warriors, I am trying to avoid that through Endless... I just need to find a good ducting setup to work with the front vents in the Monster Sport bumper. Time to call the RMR guys...

I know a few guys out here boiled their fluid and a couple toasted their dust seals. I wonder what the cost to refurbish the calipers is.

The calipers are not the issue with the Evo brake system. They work great... I do not have any first hand experience with the Endless stuff but I know that Ive never seen them on any real racecars (and Ive been in the racing brake industry for the last 6 years )

For a good how-to on home meade brake ducting click here cool brakes

Caliper rebuilds are not that expensive, its about $11 per seal and $7 per dust boot - probably a good idea to do that once a year if you are a track monkey like some of us

i always thought that those Endless brakes were some of the best for track... but i have no connection with the brake industry so I was just going on what I had heard. Oh well, so you think that the factory calipers are better than Endless ones?

Im not dissing the Endless stuff ( I have never seen/used it myself ) but I do know that I have worked in the industry for over 10 years (at the track for 6) and Ive been to many races (Champ Car, IMSA, Sportscar, Touring Car, NASCAR, etc) and I have never seen a car using the Endless brakes. The "big 3" always make the best products - AP Racing, Brembo, Alcon (and now Performance Friction makes a caliper and discs also) and thats what teams run.

The big guys also use billet mono block calipers and ceramic rotors and pads and such.. Smaller privateer teams in japan use them. I'd look for oversees opinions on them to get a better idea of their pros and cons.

what exactly is a ceramic rotor? I'm guessing that is lighter and probably handles heat more efficiently?

I originally tried to source some AP Racing or Alcon discs for my car, but there were no applications. The Endless product is used heavily in JGTC and has a very good reputation. Additionally, the spec was what I was looking for: 2-piece, aluminum hat, slotted and vented. I got them installed today (thanks Mike, Mike and Brian at Ultimate Performance). They are awesome to say the least. The complete setup is: stock Brembo calipers, Endless SS-S pads, Endless rotors, Endless stainless steel brake lines and ATE Super Blue fluid. It bites really hard, yet it's still progressive. I can't wait to try them on the track. I'll report back later (with pics, too). Of course a liquid-cooled Alcon 6-piston setup would be the dream, but I don't have $12,000 to spend on front brakes... Now if I could find a way to fit PCCB to my car, then I might have to go nuts...

I replaced all 4 rotors, plus all the lines and pads. The pads are REALLY good - they squeak a little when cold, but nothing major. I had to do a pseudo-panic stop today when I almost blew past a bunch of state police... WHEW!

I only have a pic of the rear (someone took the pic this past weekend). The pedal feel is good - different from stock - more bite, but still progressive. The pads squeak a little when cold.
