I have just purchased a set of Tein Flex coil-overs for the Evo, and I was wondering how much to expect from them?
For those of you who went coil-over, are you very happy?
How much did they help autocrossing/open-tracking?
Where should I set them on a car used 'mainly' for tracking/autocrossing?
And just as a side question, if I was able to go sub 1:51 at CMP, my local road course, how much will the coil-overs and Kumhos (victoracers) help over the stock suspension and stock tires with just a rear sway upgrade from cusco? I am also adding a down-pipe to compliment my other upgrades.
thanks.

I just put coilovers on my Evo and I can tell a BIG differance. Now there in no body roll at all and the car feels much more planted to the ground. I havent taken it on the track yet but I will be doing an auto x at the end of the month to see how the setup feels. If you are using the car mainly for track you can set them very stiff. I drive mine daily and I still have it set pretty stiff. The ride is a little harse but I love how it handles with the stiffer settings. I think its best to try out differant settings and see which works best for you. Im sure you will love the differance with the coilovers.

Dude, Get the EDFC. I just installed mine last weekend, and it rocks! I've got some pretty crappy roads that require the softest setting, but I live just minutes from Gateway Int'l so I like to stiffen them up for the track. Trust me... You will get sick of tearing out your trunk to adust the ride quality. Bryan from genuineperformanceparts.com can prob. hook you up.
Peace,
Jeremy
