Evo 6 TME Squeaky breaks
Evo 6 TME are well known for their squeaky brakes, has anyone been successful in stopping the squeaky noise.
We have tried new pads and rotors, no good.
We have also tried a hybrid softer pad, a little better but still no good.
Does anyone have a solution that will work?
Cheers DR

STI very similar spec Brembos but they do not have as much a problem. Some Evo vi TME have the squeaky break problem and others do not.
Warped discs are also a problem with some TME, but there should be a solution to the squeaky breaks. However there is nothing like waking up the neighbour hood late at night.

My original brembo pads squeaked a little. Now I use Project Mu pads and they are even louder.. Can live with it though.. I dont mind the noise as long as the beast comes to a rest when I need!!
Have you tried different Pads to get rid of the noise that are successful?
Also any advise on Headlight upgrades for TME? I've put in 130watt bulbs that work very well but are likely putting too much load on the cables.
Surely their are pads out their that work both as urban driving and used hard as they were designed for. I'm doing 20,00km a yr, lots of open road driving but it only takes a quick drive through town to get the good old noise back again.
Have got stock TME, Silver with fully maintained lease thus costs to fix is not my problem but the lease companies risk. I just want it resolved while maintaining performance.
As per many I'm also an Evo believer, driven and owned Evo's for the last 5 yrs.

I've used an aftermarket brand called "Riz" from Japan for the front. They also squeaked pretty bad (like the "Project Mu" pads). But wear was less.
My advise is for you to stick to the original Brembo pads if the leasing company pays for it!.. coz they are soo expensive and they work very well!. Also try a Dot 4.5 brake oil next time you do a brake oil change.
Post some pictures of your TME.. I also have a Silver TME. Its been 3 years since I bought and love every moment I drive it!
