Ok so only when i shift the car into reverse it makes a annoying loud squeak noise and will not squeak when putting in any other gear . I think it could possibly be the linkage? But again i have no clue (hence why I'm posting this ) if anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated

 

can you post a video? the lever that shifts into reverse is the same lever that shifts into every other gear, but only shares the same direction with 2nd and 4th, so it's strange that it's only reverse...I would remove and lubricate your shifter cable bushings...and while they're off, shift them by hand...

 

ill do that asap it has started also to bog down when i come to a stop i think its the down shift solenoid if it is are the expensive

 

oh I was thinking it was a manual...on an auto it even weirder cause there's only one shift lever....
