I like the Yokohama Sports. I have them in an OEM size. Traction AA, temperature A and treadwear 180 make them a good deal at $151 with free shipping from tire direct.

Click on the link in my sig and check them out. I think I have a pic in the gallery.

Well sring is almost here again and you know what that means! Tire time!

I think I may go with Advans this year.. I like the s-03's but they just didnt perform as well as I had expected.

I've also got my eye on those new Falkens but I dunno

Don't forget about the Toyo T1-S. I've had a set on the car now through rain and shine for more than 10K and they still have plenty of life left. Awesome in the rain too. As far as grip is concerened they're close, and progressive when they do slide. One more thing - they're light. Adding unsprung wieght is not the best idea for handling. Good all-around choice tire.

I've thought about those but I've heard the sidewall isn't all that great?

I wonder how they T1-S compare to the S-03's I had... These will be my summer only tires so really the only thing I have to worry about is how they perform in the rain. I've heard nothing but good things about the t1-s in the rain

We just had the rain to end all rain here in SoCal and I can testify once again that the T1-S is awesome in the rain. As far as the sidewall goes it's not as brutal as the stock ADVAN, but if you're driving the car around everyday that's a good thing. You lose a little of the slot car feel but also get rid of some of the tramlining and twitchiness. The grip is there - it's just a little different.

I think I'm going to go with the Toyo T1-S's... has anyone ordered from edgeracing.com.. or can any vender get em to the door for under 600?

It rains here a lot and I like the reviews... plus they are cheap.. I might get an R compound for my stock Advans and use them to play with

I live in the other VA near DC and use the T1-S as my all season winter tire since we don't get that much snow. I just switched back to the Advans for the warm weather that is supposed to arrive someday and the difference is significant. I don't think that the T1-S is even close to the stock Advans. It's a good tire that will perform OK and last much longer but the trade-off in performance is significant IMO.

I had the same feeling with the S-03's.. The difference is like 300 in getting Advans I'd really like to find a used set with extremely low milage.. but easier said than done.

I personally am a big fan of the BFG G-Force series tires. They cover the needs of almost any street car and can now be had for decent prices. The KDW provides great dry and wet grip while still having a treadwear rating of 300. I don't know about you but that means alot to my wallet. Don't laugh, but check out Costco, I picked up my winter tires, BFG G-Force KDWS for $500, installed!

I just fitted the Advan Neova AD07, 235/40ZR18.... persuaded a few of my friends to have them fixed in their cars before i did, and found that it was quite good overall, minus the tire noise though. To my surprise, its even more grippier than those of the A046. Will still need time to play around with it...
