I've talked to one of the techs at HKS-USA and he tells me that the AC lines need to be relocated and that's it. It was origionally produced for the 7 and the lines are the only thing that needs to change for a fit on the 8. Also, they don't have any current plans to make a kit specifically for the 8.

The HKS website talks about the following:

Requires Fabrication of suction pipe, downpipe and minor shaving of A/C Bracket.

Do you have more details of how to do this?

Also is there any need for different injectors/fuel pump/reprogramming ECU/boost control?

Thanks,

Steve

We currently don't have the details on the intsall and fabrication. It would be a wise disicion to replace the injectors, fuel pump, and fuel rail. The ECU will need to be reflashed or some type of engine management needed.

Vivid, this may seem like a dumb question but, is there any way to get the heatshield alone (that is if it works as a good heatshield)?

Don't think the heat sheild is sold separetly. The packages come pre packed from Japan and most likely HKS-USA will not order just a heat shield.

I will help you guys on this one since Vivid doesn't know.
You have to do several things to integrate the kit.
1. grind a portion of the A/C bracket. 5 minutes with a grinder.
2. fabricate a pipe from the compressor outlet to your intercooler piping.
3. cut/modify/re-weld an aftermarket downpipe to change the angle to meet up to the HKS O2 housing.
4. fabricate an intake pipe to meet up with the 4 inch compressor inlet.

A few things I would recommend.
1. Jet Hot coat everything that gets hot to reduce under hood temps and increase spool.
2. modify the wastegate return tube on the O2 housing on the inside; the air flow could be better.

Also, you will need larger injectors if you want to run it to it's potential; even on pump gas.

Some other minor things really should be changed from their directions to make things easier.

Saying the AC lines need to be relocated is just copying what someone else said on here; it doesn't need to be done.
