Assuming I stay with stock battery, if I ordered the ETS IC kit (3.5", Evo9 widetank) would I still use 2.5" Intercooler Piping Size or would it go to 3"?

I'm guessing answer is 2.5" and it "requires a 3" to 2.5" coupler to mate up with stock sized intercooler pipes (most kits out there).":
