My tune was done on Cali's crappy 91 octane but I was very happy with the results considering it is an MR and I am guessing I lose about 22-25% power to the wheels.

If you were referring to the transmission causing this, I would bet the drivetrain losses are closer to, if not the same as, a regular manual. The twin clutch transmission in the MR is still directly connected to the engine via the clutches, they're just automatically actuated. It wouldn't have the same losses as a torque converter in an automatic.

Honesty, I kind of disagree. I think its more about how much rotational mass there is in the tranny. I really do think the MR has higher drivetrain losses especially when you consider that people on the same dyno with similar mods are showing a pretty noticable difference between the GSR's and MR's.

oh yeah i understand that too. each car is pretty different. Alfred @ TuningTech did my tune, and he said my MR was definitely the strongest one he has seen yet. He said mine took 3 degrees more timing than any other EVO X he has had yet.

Those are some great numbers! Could you post up some pics of the mods and your ride! The torque curve is legit and the fact that your MR keeps climbing and making hp till 7,000 RPMS before the first drop is great.

Have him set the smoothing to 5, so you get a more realistic figure. 5 will smooth out all the erratic peaks and dips, which give a higher (unfortunately bogus) reading.
FWIW- on my GSR, I gained + 80hp+/- ( 250hp to 330hp on a dynapack)with an AEM intake, turbo-back, and re-map, on California 91 octane. I've also seen MR's putting down less power than GSR's, and also attribute it to the trans. I wanna say in the 220whp neighborhood. Hopefully someone comes out with a way to re-program the shift mapping for increased power, and beefier internals so they can survive above 350whp. I wanna see how quick around a track an MR can be if properly set up. All the time saved by how quick the car does all the up and back-shifting, and the driver able to cover the brake with his left foot...It's got be worth at least a second or so. Heck.. I don't even know..but I want to find out. Just imagine... a 400whp MR, with the shifting working flawlessly, and the driver not having to move his right foot from the accelerator to the brake pedal to do the braking
