I gained about 80 wheel HP. Its most definitely the torque barrier that I am worried about. I am making 318wtq and I think thats getting close to the limit that the clutches are rated at. I have heard South Side Performance is making a clutch pack. Hopefully that will allow me to go to the next level. My goal is 400whp HP, so I figure CAMs and maybe a Blouch Dominiator or a FP Red and I should be there.

Because its something different. I never had anything besides pure manuals, but I wanted to try something new. And my goals for this car are not as ambitious as some of my others. 400whp horsepower is not unobtainable. Its more torque that is the issue. 300wtq is great and more than enough for me, but I want more top end. The MR should be fully capable once people start developing for the transmission.

i truly think the MR is a great car, and it has alot of potential. Its just new and complicated and the aftermarket went after the 5spd first because its easy, and doesnt require alot of re-engineering. It makes business sense, but I think the first company that really takes the MR serious will get alot of business. I know the MR is low volume in comparison to the GSR but i believe there is alot of people out there who want to mod their MR's but want the safety net. I know because i am one of them

It might sound silly, but why arent the MR owners trying to limit the mid range torque and still try to gain some in the higher rpms? I bet you could slap on some cams and just turn the boost down in the mid range and still pick up 25-30hp on the top end without increasing max torque? would anyone care to chime in?
